Steve X is an observational, story-driven stand-up comedian whose comedy lives in the gap between what we say and what we actually mean. His material draws from the everyday — awkward social contracts, the specific texture of modern life, and the stories we tell ourselves to get through it.

His style is conversational and deliberate. There's no punchline alarm. You don't always know the joke is coming until it's already landed. That's the point.

Steve has performed across the country at independent clubs, headline rooms, and festival showcases. His current project — A Year in the Life of a Comic — documents a full year of stand-up in real time: every open mic, road gig, late-night drive, and honest conversation in between.

The project is part performance journal, part creative document, and part admission that the life behind the mic is almost always funnier than the material itself.

When he's not performing, Steve is writing, watching, and noticing things that he probably shouldn't say out loud — right up until he's back on stage saying them.

A Year in the Life of a Comic is an ongoing documentation of one full year inside stand-up comedy. Launched in 2025, it follows the creative process, the road, the bad sets, the breakthrough moments, and the strange ordinary life that fuels the material.
